Sending Games by E-Mail with ChessComment

ChessComment sends the games automatically, without using your e-mail software, but it needs a SMTP server (or outgoing mail server). It is necessary to enter it's name in the window "Options", tabsheet "Sending".

Using your current connection (38.107.179.221), we are not able to find out your SMTP Server.

If you send your e-mail with MS-Outlook, your SMTP Server should be found by ChessComment. If not, you should find it in the options of your e-mail software, or by asking to the help desk of your internet access provider, or to the administrators of your network. It is just the same outgoing mail server used by any e-mail client installed on your computer.

The field "SMTP username" is only useful in some cases : leave it empty unless you are instructed for.

If you have a dialup (or switched) connection, it's name should be selected in the field "Dialup connection". In such a situation, deferred sending is useful and generally cheaper to send all your games grouped within one connection.

If the connection is not automatically established, or if you are using AOL, you have to establish it yourself manually before sending.

It is also possible to send, without SMTP server, by using the clipboard.
